Connor Braaten, Founder

I lead operations at a Tier 1 Toyota supplier. Before that, I ran operations at Amazon. Before that, I served as a logistics officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

In my current role, I have built shop-floor tracking tools that supervisors use during the shift. I have also led the business case for a capital equipment purchase, from the floor data to the final approval.

I have stood at the constraint with a stopwatch. I have run the morning huddle. I have seen what happens when the numbers arrive a month late.

The best fixes I have seen came from the people closest to the work, once they could see the numbers. My job is to put those numbers in front of them every day.

I am an EMBA candidate at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management. I live and work in Middle Tennessee.

Why I started ScaleGrid AI

The problem is information, not talent.

In the operations I have run, the hardest problems were rarely about people. Good people were busy fighting fires. Cost, schedule and labor data sat in different places, so nobody saw the full week until it was over.

Hiring another manager does not fix that. The new hire inherits the same blind spots. I started ScaleGrid AI to fix the information, so your people can do the work they are good at.

How I work

Floor first. Your tools. Your team runs it.

  • Floor first

I start on your floor, not in a conference room. We find the one constraint together.

  • Your tools

I build on the spreadsheets and systems you already own. Nothing new to buy.

  • Your team runs it

I am done when your team runs the daily huddle without me.

Running a shop or warehouse in Middle Tennessee? I'd like to learn how your week really runs.

I'm talking with owners and operations managers about where cost and schedule information breaks down. 30 minutes, no pitch, no slides.

We walk your floor together and find the one constraint holding your margin back.
